Spaghetti and Mince (if you have left overs)
Ingredients and method:
- In a baking dish add a layer of béchamel sauce
- Add a layer of the minced meat or bolognaise over the top
- Scoop the spaghetti with a fork, turning it to form a *nest* shape and place on top.
- Grate some cheese and sprinkle over the spaghetti
Serving Suggestion:
- Serve warm
- You can always add some greens like chives or spring onions on top (I used chili flakes for this recipe)
Ground beef & Spaghetti recipe (if making it fresh)
Ingredients:
- Pre-cooked Spaghetti mince meat (any)
- 1 Onion, peeled and finely diced
- red bell pepper
- green bell pepper
- yellow bell pepper
- 1 Tomato diced
- 1 cup baby spinach leaves chopped
- Salt and Pepper
- Mixed herbs
- oil for frying
- 2 tablespoons salted butter
- Coriander
- Paprika
- Chutney
- Tomato sauce
- Worcestershire sauce
Method:
- Pre cook 1 pack of Spaghetti
- In pan, heat some oil and add the diced onion, bell peppers and the spinach.
- Add the salt and pepper and mixed herbs, sauté till onions are translucent.
- in a big pot add some oil and the 2 table spoons of salted butter, let it melt.
- add the sautéed veggies and ground meat, the paprika, coriander, some salt and pepper.
- mix through and cook till done, then add the tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce and chutney at the end and let it simmer for another 1 – 2 minutes.
Serving suggestion:
- Serve warm Garnish with some greens before serving
- Serve immediately
