Who knew you could make bread dough at home with cold water?
I tried this recipe, and never seems to fail.
Add your favorite filling suiting the occasion. We are using diced onion.

Here is how we did it:
Ingredients:
Dough:
- 3 cups flour
- 1 packet yeast
- 1 cup cold water
- Pinch of salt
- 1/4 cup oil
Extra oil to brush the sides of the bowl when rising the dough.
Filling:
- 1 Diced Onion
Method:
- Mix all the dry ingredients together.
- Make a well in the middle of the dry ingredients.
- Add the oil and Cold water (have some extra cold water close by just incase the dough looks too dry)
- Mix thoroughly (the dough should be slightly sticky) Form a ball and oil the sides.
- Cover with cling wrap and place in a warm area for dough to set for about 1 hour.
- DON’T worry! The dough will look like it didn’t rise much, but after 1 hour, flour a clean surface and knead the dough for 10 – 12 minutes.
- The dough will become smooth and the yeast will activate.
- Roll the dough out into a rectangle and sprinkle the diced onion on top.
- Roll the dough up and put in a sprayed bread loaf pan.
- Cover with cling wrap and put in a warm place for 10 minutes.
- Heat the oven to 180°C and bake bread for 30 – 35 minutes.
Serving suggestion:
- Serve with butter
- Cheese
- Jam
- Chicken-mayo
- Salads
- Meats
